State Chapter Coordinator

OVERVIEW:  This position serves as the primary contact for The Bowling Foundation in a specific geographic territory of the United States.  The person in this position is a liaison between the Regional Team Leader, the national office, and local, affiliates, associations, partners and volunteers throughout the state.

RESPONSIBILITIES:  
The State Chapter Coordinator recruits, trains and provides resources to local level volunteer team leaders, and committees.  Other specific roles include:

  • Provide volunteer management resources and recognition to volunteers
  • Serve as liaison to the Bowling Foundation partners and charities in the state
  • Serve as liaison to state associations
  • Supports local events, activities and programs
  • Seeks to create state level events and activities for the Bowling Foundation
  • Promotes awareness and funding opportunities for the Bowling Foundation and its partners
  • Communicates effectively with the Bowling Foundation Regional Team Leader and  national offices and serves as the liaison with local affiliates, volunteers and team leaders.

REQUIREMENTS:

Time commitment for this volunteer position requires a minimum of 3 hours per week.  Access to a computer, email and phone is essential.  Effective communication and people skills are a must.  A passion for helping others and charitable causes is important!  Let’s Go Bowling! Bowl For GOOD!

Regional Team Leader

OVERVIEW:  This position serves as the primary contact for The Bowling Foundation in a specific geographic territory of the United States.  The person in this position is a liaison between the national office and all states, state team leaders, and their local chapters, affiliates, associations, partners and volunteers in that region.

RESPONSIBILITIES:  
The Regional Team Leader recruits, trains and provides resources to state level volunteer team leaders, and committees.  Other specific roles include:

  • Provide volunteer management resources and recognition
  • Serve as liaison to the Bowling Foundation partners and charities in the region
  • Supports local events, activities and programs
  • Promotes awareness and funding opportunities for the Bowling Foundation and its partners
  • Communicates effectively with the Bowling Foundation national offices and serves as the liaison with state chapters and team leaders.

Event Coordinator

OVERVIEW:  This position is a local volunteer leadership opportunity for The Bowling Foundation.  The Event Coordinate organizes local events that raise funds and/or awareness for The Bowling Foundation and specific programs/causes it supports.  The person in this position is a liaison between the State Coordinator, and local affiliates, associations, bowling centers, partners and volunteers throughout the state.

RESPONSIBILITIES:  
The Event Coordinator recruits, trains and provides resources to local level volunteer committees.  Under the leadership of the coordinator, these committees specific roles include:

  • Provide volunteer management resources and recognition to volunteers
  • Serve as liaison to The Bowling Foundation charities, local affiliates, bowling centers, and associations.
  • Plans and organizes local fundraising events, activities and programs
  • Promotes awareness and funding opportunities for the Bowling Foundation and its partners
  • Communicates effectively with the Bowling Foundation State Coordinator.
  • Properly manages fundraising activities and accounting.
  • Publicizes events and recruits volunteers in local communities.

REQUIREMENTS:

Time commitment for this volunteer position requires a minimum of 6 hours per month, depending on the number of events planned.  Strong organizational skills important.  Access to a computer, email and phone is essential.  Effective communication and people skills are a must.  Helping strengthen local communities, building and maintaining a strong public image for The Bowling Foundation essential.  A passion for helping others and charitable causes is critical!  Powerful and meaningful social change and support for those in need is the reward!  Let’s Go Bowling! Bowling Foundation Volunteer Network

You can become an important and valued supporter of The Bowling Foundation by joining our new volunteer network.  As part of the “Bowl For Good!” campaign, we are seeking volunteer leaders who will organize and coordinate local volunteer committees in your community.  These committees will then plan, implement and help expand our key projects in that area.  Projects such as “Bowl for the Cure” in partnership with Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Research Foundation, “Bowl for Kids Sake” in partnership with Big Brothers/Big Sisters, “Bowl for Veterans,”, Special Olympics Unified Bowling,  and other events/activities that help support youth bowling & scholarships, supporting the International Bowling Hall of Fame & Museum,  along with many other projects.  We need you now!
 
WHERE: Right in your local community! Building this network is based solely on the grass roots efforts of people just like you. Big or small, every community can strengthen and get better. No bowling center nearby? That’s ok. Contact us and we will help you with other ways to get a local program started.

WHO: We need anyone who has an interest in our causes and projects, is self motivated, looking for leadership/volunteer opportunities in your community, and ready to be in on the ground floor of a great new volunteer network! You don’t need to be a great bowler, or have any experience. We just need your passion and commitment, and a few hours a month. 

WHY: The rewards are priceless, knowing you are helping others, improving the lives of others, while promoting these special causes and the sport of bowling all at the same time! You will also take some ownership stake in serving as a leader in your community, and build on your leadership skills!
